Treatments

Braces, metal and ceramic
Metal braces stand out for their durability and efficiency in correcting a wide range of orthodontic issues. Ceramic braces offer a discreet alternative to metal braces by blending in with the natural color of your teeth.

Invisalign and Invisalign Teen
Through the use of clear aligners, custom-fitted to each individual’s smile, Invisalign gently repositions teeth without the visual and physical intrusiveness of traditional braces.

Palate expander and MARPE
A palate expander is a device used to widen the upper jaw, creating more space in the mouth. MARPE stands for miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expansion.

Retainers and retention
At Carvalho & Roth Orthodontics, we provide retainers to help ensure your smile stays exactly where it should be.

Adult treatment
At Carvalho & Roth Orthodontics, many of our patients are adults who decided it was time to make a change.
Airway orthodontics
Airway orthodontics is more than straightening teeth. It focuses on how the mouth, jaw, and airway work together.
Mandibular advancement appliances
These appliances adjust jaw position to keep the airway open.
Early treatment
Starting orthodontic treatment early can make a big difference in a child’s life, and that’s exactly what we focus on at our centers in Marlborough, Northborough, Newton Centre, and Worcester, MA.
Remote monitoring
Patients simply upload a few pictures to a mobile app once a week. As long as their teeth are tracking correctly, they can switch to their next aligners as directed by the doctors without needing to visit the office.
Orthognathic surgery consultations
Orthognathic surgery is a type of corrective jaw procedure used to fix misalignments that cannot be resolved with orthodontics alone. Your jaw surgery will be performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
Treatment by age
Children
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that children see an orthodontist by the time they are seven years old.
If we see something that may benefit from early care, we may recommend Phase 1 treatment. Not every child needs Phase 1 treatment, but when it’s recommended, it can reduce the need for more extensive procedures later on.

Teens
Invisalign Teen is a modern orthodontic treatment designed to straighten teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners instead of traditional braces.
Pre-teen and teen years are often the ideal time for treatment. Growth is still happening, which means we can make changes more efficiently.

Adults
More people are choosing to improve their smiles later in life, thanks to discreet and flexible options.
