AcceleDent is an exciting orthodontic device that helps to speed up the movement of teeth. It can be used to complement any kind of orthodontic treatment, it’s completely noninvasive, and in clinical trials, it’s been shown to speed up treatment time by 50%. Best of all, it’s incredibly easy to use.
AcceleDent works by using a proprietary technology to generate micropulses: tiny, gentle vibrations in the teeth and gums. These micropulses help encourage the ligaments and tissues supporting the teeth to respond to the pressures exerted on them by orthodontic appliances like braces and Invisalign. With the addition of these micropulses, teeth can move up to 50% faster.
How Does AcceleDent Work?
AcceleDent is remarkably easy and convenient to use. The system works with two simple components: an activator, which is the larger “handle” and houses the machinery to generate micropulses, and a mouthpiece, which is custom-made to fit your bite. Using AcceleDent is easy. Simply bite down on the mouthpiece with enough force so you don’t need to use your hands to hold it in your mouth. Turn on the activator, then leave it in for 20 minutes, repeating this process daily. That’s it! It takes only 20 minutes a day, and you’re still free to use your hands to surf the web, read, or watch TV while you use it.
