Our staff is a team of professionally trained, highly skilled individuals who are committed to providing you or your child with professional, yet personal orthodontic care.
Dr. Carvalho, Dr. Roth and each of our staff members are dedicated to our patients' successful treatment. To maintain certification and to stay current with advancements in orthodontic treatment, we attend frequent continuing education lectures and seminars given by the American Association of Orthodontists and the Yankee Dental Congress. We have proficiencies in English, Italian, French and Portuguese so that we can keep you updated and informed throughout the treatment process and answer any questions you may have, regardless of language.
Kelly is a woman who likes to get things done! During her decade plus tenure with the practice she has spent time as a Clinical Assistant, Treatment Coordinator, and Financial Coordinator. She now serves as the Practice Manager responsible for anything and everything, but her primary focus is making sure each and every patient has an incredible experience at Carvalho and Roth Ortho. Kelly was trained as a professional chef so she enjoys cooking and having parties to showcase her talent. When not working, Kelly loves skiing, music, wakeboarding and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Kristy has been with us as our Financial Coordinator since 2009. During that time she and her husband has welcomed 2 wonderful sons into the family. Born and raised in Spencer, MA Kristy graduated from Westfield State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Her primary focus is making sure all your insurance benefits are processed correctly and taking one less thing off your plate as a patient with us! In addition to being a dedicated mother and employee Kristy is also a health nut! Out of the office you can often find her cooking up a healthy meal and staying active with her family.
Patrice is our longest tenured employee having been with our practice for over 15 years. During that time she has spent time in almost every position. She lives in Hudson with her husband and 3 sons. Prior to her career in Orthodontics, Patrice taught third grade and pre-school. When she is not caring for her boys, she enjoys shopping, a nice walk and a good book. Patrice is currently one of our Insurance Coordinators working out of the Marlborough office.
Karen is the Treatment Coordinator for our Newton Centre office. She has been with the practice since 2007 and is loving every minute of it! As Treatment Coordinator, Karen has the honor of being the first staff member to meet and welcome patients and their families to our office a part of her job she finds to be incredibly rewarding. Originally from Walpole, Karen graduated from Westfield State College with a BA in English. After working in publishing and radio for 10 years, she joined her family business managing one of the largest independent pharmacies in the area. Karen has a wonderful son (who recently got his braces off) whom she loves spending time with and also enjoys cooking, gardening and reading.
Marianna joined our team in February 2010. Originally from Brazil, Marianna has been in the US for 14 years and currently lives in Marlborough. As a Treatment Coordinator, Marianna's goal is to help make your entire treatment experience a pleasure starting with the initial consultation. She loves welcoming patients to our office and introducing them to the world of braces and the positive change it can have on one's life. The long-term relationships she develops with the families brings her great joy and she loves seeing the confidence that having an awesome smile brings. She is a proud mom of two kids ( Luis Enrique and Cayo ), and two dogs ( Linux and Pandora ). In her free time she loves being with her family, spending time outdoors (when it's not too cold!), and camping.
Christine has been with our team since 2012. As our Scheduling Coordinator, her goal is to find the most convenient time for you or your child's office visit. She understands how busy your life is and her goal is to make this part of it as easy as possible . She loves getting to know each and every one of our patients, and building long lasting relationships with families. Christine currently resides in Worcester with her son Lucas. In her free time she enjoys shopping and spending time with friends and family.
Sharon is one of the newest members of our team, but is certainly not new to the wonderful world of orthodontics! She comes to us with over 30 years of dental experience, having graduated from Middlesex Community College's Dental Assisting Program with an Associate's Degree in 1976, before completing her Bachelor of Arts at Salem State College. She has spent the last 20 years in orthodontics, working in all facets of patient and practice management in various orthodontic practices. Sharon is a life-long resident of Somerville where she lives with her husband, Bruce and their cat Jake. She enjoys traveling, preferably cruising and is an avid photographer.
Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Ashley loves clinical orthodontics! She has worked in the practice since 2004 as clinical assistant and Invisalign coordinator. In 2010 she took her skill set to the next level and completed the Dental Assisting National Board certification, COA, as a certified orthodontic assistant. Ashley is largely responsible for training the clinical staff and working to find new products and techniques to help make the clinical assistants even better at their jobs! Prior to joining our team, Ashley studied law at Suffolk University. She resides in Worcester area with her husband "Jigger" and two Boston Terriers, Bosco Marley and Ruby Tuesday. Ashley is true artist at heart, enjoying drawing, painting and is a certified professional body art practitioner.
Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Kimi is a highly skilled clinical assistant that has been with our practice since 2005. She takes continuing education seriously and became a COA, a certified orthodontic assistant in 2011 after completing the Dental Assisting National Boards. Having grown up in Marlboro, just down the street from the office, she is happy to see many familiar faces (and smiles) at the office. Kimi currently lives in Worcester with her husband and recently welcomed a daughter, Sadie, in August 2013. She loves hanging out with friends and family. Snowmobiling is her favorite hobby in the winter and she is a big fan of the beach in the summer.
Hailey joined Carvalho & Roth Orthodonics in 2009. Before that, she spent 3 great years as a kindergarten teacher so when it comes to helping the younger patients - or those who are a bit anxious Hailey rises to the task with ease. Originally from Fitchburg and still living there, Hailey has 3 cats and a dog to keep her busy! She describes seeing people smile after they get their braces removed as the best part of the work day and is very passionate about orthodontics. In her spare time she enjoys the gym, going to concerts and spending time with her friends and family.
Erica began working with Carvalho and Roth in 2007 as an Orthodontic Assistant. She describes building relationships with patients as her favorite part of her job and excels at it because of her warm and caring personality. Erica spent the last 10 years living in Framingham but recently bought a home in Worcester. Erica's free time is spent with her wonderful husband, friends and family. she enjoys working out, going to the movies and traveling. Erica has also recently completed coursework and become a licensed Aesthetician.
Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Jessica started her career as an orthodontic assistant in 2001. She joined us in 2009 after returning from a number of years in Connecticut. Currently residing in Grafton with her husband and three children, Jessica is heavily involved in her children’s schools and programs. Outside of the practice she enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her children and making memories with friends and family. Jessica describes the most gratifying part of her job as seeing the life changing results that come out of our work. Jessica has a passion for people and making others happy. She thrives in the office not just because of her skill set with her hands, but because she cares so much about each and every patient.
Tamy was formally trained as a Dental Assistant graduating from Northern Essex Community College. In 25 years of dental experience she has spent time in just about every dental specialty but always returning to pediatrics and orthodontics as she feels it keeps her young! In her free time, she works to empower and expand the potential of at risk youth in the Worcester County area. After all her responsibilities she has a bit of time left over for her husband and our 20+ kids and grandkids. Yes that number is correct!
Luz is one of the newest additions to our team. She studied at Lincoln Technical Institute for Dental Assisting maintaining a 4.0 gpa throughout her time there. Studying different specialties of the dental field she immediately fell in love with orthodontics. Luz's favorite part of the orthodontic field is the independence of working one on one with the patients and building relationships with them. Born in Puerto Rico and now living in Taunton she is fluent in both spanish and english. When not at work Luz enjoys, spending time with her family and friends. She loves, shopping, drawing, writing, and just all together having a good time.
Alexsandra joined Carvalho and Roth Orthodontics in 2010. She "loves teeth" and seeing our patient's smiles transform so quickly amazes her. Alexsandra had her own orthodontic treatment with Dr. Carvalho and Dr. Roth and absolutely loves the results. Originally from Milford she recently bought a home in Bellingham; she is currently working towards a science degree. Outside the office she enjoys working out, going to the beach and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Sarah was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and has been living in Worcester for the last 12 years with her lovely husband Diogo and wonderful son Kevin. Prior to joining us Sarah has been working in the healthcare field in an administrative role. She has embraced her new position as her true passion is working with people and building relationships - which is the part of her job she loves most. When not working, Sarah enjoys going to church and watching movies with her friends and family. She also absolutely loves to sing!
